About the author:

Priscilla Hill is a resident of Connecticut but was originally born in Brazil. She has loved writing from a very early age and has always dreamed of publishing a book. She realized this dream in 2022 when she wrote, illustrated, and published her first book, "Little Birdie and His Amazing Journey," a motivational story about facing fears and overcoming challenges. With her second book, "The Little Seashell and Her Amazing Journey," she hopes to share another motivational story that encourages children to recognize their worth and emphasize the importance of positive self-talk.

Her third publication was a very special one, due to how the idea came to existence, and how it is a collaboration with the illustrator - her own daughter, Brianna Hill. The background story behind “Have you ever felt like an alien cat?” is just as powerful as its content and illustrations, which were all created, drawn, and colored by Brianna.

After experiencing bullying at school and feeling sad, Brianna came to her mom and shared how other children would not play with her at recess, and at one occasion, even called her drawings “trash”. She also shared that she felt alone and like she did not belong. Priscilla then came up with the idea of publishing a book together - she would write the story, and her daughter would illustrate the whole book. Brianna’s confidence begun to bloom, and the alien cat was born.

Priscilla plans to keep writing, illustrating, and publishing motivational stories so children worldwide can be inspired by her messages of love, positivity, and self-worth.

She will still work alongside her daughter with some new stories as well.

On August 11th, 2024, her very first poetry book, Versions of Me - a collection of poems from her adolescence, contrasting with poems she has written this year - was published!
